The multi-story problem
Hotels, hospitals, apartment towers, student housing and office buildings built with cast iron waste and vent stacks reach an age where the stacks corrode, scale up and start leaking into the floors below. Replacing them means opening walls and ceilings on every floor, relocating occupants, and weeks of construction. Lining rehabilitates the stack from an access point at the top or bottom, in place, while the building stays occupied.

Why UV lining is the usual choice
UV-cured liners cure quickly and do not depend on holding hot water in a vertical pipe, so a stack can be lined and back in service in hours rather than a day. Branch connections are reinstated robotically from inside the stack, and a post-cure camera survey documents every floor.

Do you have to open walls to line a stack?
No. Access is through the roof vent, a cleanout or the base of the stack. Walls stay closed.
Can you line a stack with many branch connections?
Yes. The liner covers them during installation and a robotic cutter reopens each branch from inside afterwards.
How long is a floor without water?
Typically part of a day for the stack being lined. We schedule the sequence with your operations team and keep the rest of the building running.
