Workplaces, apartment communities, retail centers, hotels and fleet depots are adding chargers because tenants, customers and drivers now expect them. Progressive designs, installs, repairs and maintains commercial EV charging from the utility service to the connector.
Charging built for the way your property is used
A commercial charging project is an electrical infrastructure project first. The chargers themselves are the visible part; the service capacity, the distribution, the trenching and conduit, the load management and the permits decide whether the project works and what it costs. Progressive is a licensed commercial electrical contractor with plumbing and HVAC crews under the same roof, so the trenching, the site work and the power are one contract.
What we install
- Level 2 charging (240 V, typically 32 to 80 amps per port) for workplaces, multifamily, hotels and retail, as single units or networked banks with access control and billing.
- DC fast charging for fleets, dealerships, fuel and convenience sites and highway retail, including three-phase service upgrades and transformer coordination with the utility.
- Fleet depots with load management that charges every vehicle by the morning shift without oversizing the service.
- Make-ready infrastructure: conduit, wiring and panel capacity installed now so chargers can be added as demand grows.
The stages of a commercial installation
- Site and load assessment. Existing service capacity, panel space, distances, parking layout, ADA-accessible spaces and future expansion.
- Design and utility coordination. Charger count and power, load management, any service upgrade, and the utility application.
- Permits and incentives. We pull the permits and identify the utility and federal incentives that apply to your project.
- Construction. Trenching, conduit, distribution, chargers, bollards, signage and striping coordination.
- Commissioning. Network activation, testing at every port, and handover documentation.
- Maintenance and repair. Scheduled inspections, connector and cable replacement, firmware and network issues, and fast repair of out-of-service ports.
Who we serve
Property managers and multifamily communities, employers, hotels, retail and restaurant sites, healthcare campuses, schools and municipalities, dealerships and fleet operators.
Frequently asked questions
How many chargers can my building support?
It depends on the spare capacity in your electrical service and how the chargers are managed. Load management lets many ports share a fixed amount of power, which is often the difference between adding chargers now and waiting for a service upgrade.
Do you handle the utility application and incentives?
Yes. We coordinate the utility work and identify the rebates and tax incentives that apply to your project.
Can you repair chargers you did not install?
Yes. We repair and maintain most commercial charger brands and can take over service on an existing installation.

I called Progressive because of storm/tree damage, which took out both my power and caused my water main to burst. Progressive could do both. From my initial call to the arrival of the electrician and plumber, I couldn’t have been more pleased. … I would use them again and highly recommend them for your ‘mechanical’ needs.

Everything was taken care of today. They were just amazing. They got everything done real quick, no mess, real polite. They were just awesome. … The best news we’ve had since we’ve moved into this house.

We really appreciate the extra time, phone calls to the supplier, and careful reading of the instructions to do the job right. Gilbert expressed his philosophy as ‘doing the job the way he would want it done in his own home.’ Once again, we are most pleased with the professional and courteous service your company provides.
